What’s New for UU?

UU Class Conversations cosponsored the Congregational Study Action Issue Housing: Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, which was presented at General Assembly. The high cost of housing is leading to homelessness for millions of low-income, working poor and working class people. The issue initially received the most support at the scheduled Thursday vote. However, some delegates and representatives for other Study Action Issue candidates requested a revote, as they were absent during the Thursday vote. This led to another issue being selected for study. Nonetheless, our group is pressing ahead to engage more congregations in working for fair and affordable housing for people of all social classes.
